Weston May Not Play

M. P. Weston, the fullback for today's game against Wellington- is unlikely to play. He has a badly bruised shoulder. Although no decision on his fitness will be made until this morning, It is almost certain that he will be replaced by D. Rutherford. This has caused some concern to the Lions. Rutherford has been shaken by a succession of up-and-unders in his last two matches. He did not want to play in the match but now he may be forced into it. The flanker, G. J. Prothero, who suffered slight concussion in the match against New Zealand Universities at Christchurch on Wednesday, has been confined to bed suffering from an ear infection. He is not allowed to travel by air for at least a week.— (F.O.O.R.)
