Three Craft At Lyttelton
Three fishing boats at Lyttelton are preparing to sail for the Chatham Islands crayfishtag grounds in convoy next week. One, the Kely G.. owned by Mr J. Gteby. of Invercargill, has been launched only two days. She will have to undergo a trial run before sailing. Mr Gisby already has the mother ship Wiilomee and four other crayfish boats in the Chathams.
The Kelly G. will be accompanied to the Chathams by a new trawler, the Wanganuibuilt Joshua P., owned by Mr P. Smith, of Christchurch.
The third craft is the former Akaroa trawler. Tawaki, which is owned by Mr P. KeKaway, and has been renamed Justin K.
There will be a four-man crew aboard the Kelly G. The other two craft will have threeman crews.
