MELBOURNE
Industrials trading was quieter and prices generally edged lower on the Melbourne Stock Exchange yesterday. B.H.P. moved higher to 612. Cottees dropped 15 cents of yesterday’s sharp rise to close at 380. Base metals were firm. Western Mining continued yesterday’s advance to 510 before slipping back to 496. Oils eased. Santos was down 20 cents to 280. Woodside, down early four cents to 74, recovered to 83.
