PROMOTING NORTHLAND
Camping grounds providing for 4000 each should be among the facilities available in Northland, within six years, Major A. Voss, executive officer of Northland Travel Promotion, Inc., told a group of Christchurch travel agents yesterday. Major Voss, Mr L. Rutherford, deputy-chairman of the New Zealand Travel and Holiday Association, and Mr P. P. Quilter, of Kaitaia, are touring the South Island to promote Northland. The party has visited Invercargill and Dunedin and will speak in Wellington tonight. Northland was on the same latitude as Sydney, and had 1000 beaches, 60 hotels and guest houses, 50 motels, and 20 camping grounds, Major Voss said.
