INJURED AT WORK

Two men were injured by falling objects at their work yesterday. They are Frederick Hodgson, of 29 Vardon crescent, and Frederick James Wall, of 33 Pinehurst crescent.

Mr Hodgson was struck by a crate of plywood at 9.40 a.m. while employed at Smith’s City Market. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital with head injuries. His condition last night was satisfactory.

Mr Wall suffered internal injuries when a 3001 b bale struck a hand trolley he was using at the Riccarton Carpet Factory at 1.30 a.m. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital, where his condition last night was fairly satisfactory.
