A Japanese businessman is spending his life savings on a four-page, £5400 advertisement in “The Times” tomorrow expressing his views on Vietnam and world peace. for “The Times” said today. The advertiser is Mr Morihiro Matsuda, of Tokyo, who recently inserted a similar two-page advertisement in ithe “New York Times” ■ He has used the four pages to set out his general philosophy on life, particullarly as it relates to the solution of world problems of ipeace and war. “He told us, 'he was doing it because he'
felt compelled to put forward his views,” said the spokesman. “The Times,” which has been in touch with Mr Matsuda at his home in Japan to help him with the lay-out, will be carrying an editorial about him tomorrow. The previous largest personal advertisement in “The Times” was a full-page one on Rhodesia by a group of university professor*.
