Tax Evader Shocks In Hawera Win.

Tax Evader won the Walter Williams Handicap at good odds to pave the way for a £229 5s double with Marla Mitchell at the Egmont Racing Club’s winter meeting at Hawera yesterday. Steady light rain fell throughout the first few races, and the track, which was heavy at the etart, cut out early. The totalisator handled £29.011 on course, an increase of £4830 10s.
