Cantat Cable Fails

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 22. The Cantat cable which carries most of New Zealand’s telephone circuits across the Atlantic to Britain failed today, a Post Office official said tonight. Repairs were expected to be completed within the next week, but it was hoped New Zealand calls could be taken in other trans-Atlantic cables.
