Parliament’s Diary
After a brisk debate on a notice of motion by Mr R. L. Bailey (Opp., Heretaunga) on doctors’ charges Parliament last night continued with the Budget debate. Papers presented included the annual reports of the Department of Agriculture, the Nature Conservation Council, the Government Insurance Commissioner, and the Veterinary Services Council.
Speakers in the Budget debate were:— Opposition: Mr W. E. Rowling (Buller), the deputy-leader (Mr Watt) Mr M. A. Connelly (Ricca rton). Government: The Minister of Works (Mr Allen), Mr W. B. Tennent (Manawatu), Mr G. A. Walsh (Tauranga).
