MH PUBLIC NOTICES TAWERA RABBIT BOARD HOUSING LOAN NO. 1, 1966 £5OOO NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the foilowing resolution intended to operate as a Special Order was passed at a special meeting of the Tawera Rabbit Board convened for that purpose and held on the 16th day of June, 1966, and will come up for confirmation at a meeting of the Board to be held in the Tawera Memorial Hall, Springfield, on Monday, the 18th day of July, 1966. THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Rabbits Act, 1955, and the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, and of all other powers thereinto enabling the Tawera Rabbit Board doth hereby by Special Order resolve to borrow the sum of Five Thousand Pounds (£5000) by way of loan to be known as Housing Loan No. 1, 1966, for the purpose of building a dwellinghouse for an employee of the Board.

THAT the security for such loan shall be a Special Rate of .3113 d for every acre of rateable area appearing on the rolls of the Board. THAT the term of the loan shall be for a period of twentyfive years and Interest thereon shall be at a rate not exceeding five and one-half per cent per annum. ATTENTION is drawn to Section 34 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, which provides that before the date fixed for the confirmation of the Resolution to raise a special loan, not less than 5 per cent of the ratepayers whose names are inscribed on the ratepayers’ roll of the Board, by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the Board, demand that a poll be taken on the proposal.
