FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An unsettled south-westerly airstream is spreading over New Zealand. Forecast: Canterbury.—South-westerlies, fresh at times about the coast; winds elsewhere moderate and variable; cloudy with showers in the Alps and scattered showers elsewhere; clearing during the day; cool temperatures. Marlborough and Nelson.—West or northwest winds predominating; scattered showers about the ranges; fine elsewhere with moderate day temperatures. Buller and Westland.—Fresh south-westerlies; changeable and cool, but increasing fair periods. Outlook.—All districts: Little change. CHRISTCHURCH READINGS
