Litter

Sir, —Cut lunches may be criminally discarded before traffic officers in Auckland and Mr Ferris fed up down the Main South road by the trail of fish and chips that did not come up to expectations, but last Monday, while overtaking in lunch-time Christchurch, my windscreen was litter-bugged by a tossed cheese sandwich. Although my wipers disposed of the garbage, I suppose I risked a “talking-to” by a traffic officer for not stopping and ing the harder pieces of cheese to, the kerbside litter left by another City Council department.—Yours, etc., A. B. CEDARIAN. June 22, 1966.
