"The Press" Special Service PALMERSTON NORTH. Count Filou will have ground conditions to his liking in the Walter Williams Handicap, the first leg of the Egmont Racing Club’s double at Hawera today.

Count Filou will be ridden by R. J. Skelton. A good run today will bring him into strong favour for the Wellington Racing Club’s Parliamentary Handicap next month.

Sue Paul, from Te Awamutu, and Lady Wild, from Bulls, may be the best of Count Filou’s rivals. With a chance to freshen since she last raced, in March, Corina could return better than ever and win the Hawera Handicap, second leg of the T.A.B. double. AstaritQ and Equality, both from Auckland stables, should be improvers in an even-looking field.
