STAFF TRAINING OFFICER Australian Consolidated Industries Limited. A CHALLENGING JOB with one of New Zealand’s largest manufacturing companies. A new position has been created in the A.C.I. Group for a Staff Training Officer. The successful applicant will be based at the A.C.L head office in Penrose and initially will be required to undertake training work in our Penrose companies. From time to time, at a later date, some work will also be required at other locations in the North Island, and in Christchurch. DUTIES: The Staff Training Officer will be responsible for the development of a comprehensive training scheme, involving seven different companies with a total staff strength of 2300. This will involve conducting and following up on In-Company Supervisory and Management Training Programmes, organising and advising on External Training Schemes, and maintaining overall functional supervision for all training activities in the group. QUALIFICATIONS: It is probable that the successful applicant will be In the 30 to 40 age bracket, with recent productiondirected industrial training experience. He will probably have higher educational qualifications, preferably to the graduate level. We do not wish to restrict applications to a narrow range however, and we will consider as candidates for this position, any who have some relevant training background.
