PASSENGER INJURED
Collision In Buller Gorge
A Westport woman, Mrs Nesta Stuart, aged 50, married, was admitted to Buller Hospital this afternoon with serious spinal injuries received in a collision between a heavy car, in which she: was a passenger, and a truck, on the Stitts Bluff section of ( the lower Buller Gorge road.: The truck, driven by Mr J. B. Kennett, of Westport,! and the other vehicle, driven! by Mr L. Stuart, a contractor, of Westport, and husband of the injured woman, were both damaged considerably. the car more so. Three other passengers in Mr Stuart’s car and the driver escaped injury, as did Mr Kennett The party was travelling to Christchurch. The road was blocked for about 80 minutes befo ■ the! damaged vehicle# could be removed.
