CALWELL SHOT
(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) SYDNEY, JUNE 21. Mr A. A Calwell, Leader of the Parliamentary Labour Party was shot by a man when leaving the Mosman Town Hall after making a speech tonight. Reports say a man walked up to him and fired a shotgun. An ambulance rushed Mr Callwell to hospital. Mr Calwell’s condition is understood to be satisfactory. Police said later they were holding a man.
