DISHONESTY CHARGE

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 20. Noel James McGrugan, aged 35, a company executive, and Patricia Imelda May Keane, aged 28, a secretary, faced a joint charge of false pretences involving £1656 when they appeared in the Magistrate’s Court

They were charged that on June 10, with intent to defraud, they obtained from Thomas Hubert Lee £1656 by falsely representing that they would supply him with cosmetics to that value.

No pleas were entered. Mr M. C. Astley remanded both accused in custody until Friday.
