OVERSEAS SHARES
Brokers See Mr Wilson (N.Z. Preet Aetoclatlon) WELLINGTON, June 20. The Governor of the Reserve Bank (Mr G. E. Wilson) and the president of the New Zealand Stock Exchange Association (Mr A. W. McArthur) issued a joint statement today after talks between representatives of the two organisations. The statement was:— “Representatives of the New Zealand Stock Exchange met Reserve Bank officials this afternoon and fully discussed the implications of the new exemption notice in so far as they apply to dealings in New Zealand or sterling area securities and currencies. “A full exchange of views ensued and it was decided that a local committee of Stock Exchange officials continue the discussions.”
