Pay Rises In New Award (N.Z. Pres» Association) WELLINGTON, June 19. Increases ranging from £26 to £7O a year for male workers and from £26 to £5B for female workers are provided for in a new award for clerical workers and inspectors employed by insurance companies. The new salary scale for male workers ranges from £450 (900 dollars) in the first year to £l2lO (2420 dollars) in the eighteenth year. For female workers the rates range from £450 (900 dollars) in the first year to £790 (1580 dollars) in the eleventh year. Workers with school certificate will receive one year’s advancement on the appropriate salary scale, and those with university entrance will receive two years' advancement Increments are also provided for holders of the Insurance Institute examinations.
