Craddock Wins By A Nose At Waipa
(N.Z. Press Association) TE AWAMUTU. The veteran galloper, Craddock, won his second Woodstock Stakes—six years after his first win in the event—at the Waipa Racing Club’s winter meeting on Saturday. The former southern jockey, R. J. Skelton, kept him handy and drove through in
the straight to win by a nose from Anne Lane, also well up throughout. Whakamoa, at a false price considering his form, was a good third. The double was completed by Wairere Lass in the Kihikihi Intermediate Handicap, the combination paying £47 14s 6d for £l.
