S. D. Edge, the driver of Bacardi In the Sefton Handicap No. 1 at Rangiora on Saturday, was fined £l5 for careless driving. An inquiry was held Into a check received by Garriman over the concluding stages of the race. It was found that the incident was caused by Bacardi going for a gap when there was Insufficient room. Evidence was heard from D. J. Townley, the driver of Boston Billy, and J. L. Ferguson, the driver of Soft Magic.
