WATKINSON IN FINAL
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON. M. P. Watkinson, the New Zealand champion, beat the South African champion, R. J. Hopley, by a length and a half, to reach the senior sculls final at the Marlow, Buckinghamshire regatta on Friday. It was a disappointing day for South Africa. Its Viking club four was also narrowly beaten by Eton Excelsior in the Town Cup. B. School, of the United States, beat Liverpool Victoria by two lengths for a place in the semi-finals in the new event for junior-senior eights.
