New Chief Minister
(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Coppright) KUCHING (Sarawak), June 19. The Governor of Sarawak on Friday swore in a new Chief Minister in place of the present Chief Minister, Date Stephen Kalong Ningkan. The new Chief Ministei Penghulu Tawa Sli, was appointed by the Malaysian Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman, when Dato Ningkan refused to resign. The Tunku appointed 54-year-old Penghulu Sli earlier this week after accusing Dato Ningkan of failing to discharge his duties to the credit of Sarawak's ruling Alliance Party.
