Top Rugby Teams Go Further Ahead
The defeat of Albion and Lincoln College on Saturday has increased the lead of the top two teams, Christchurch and Linwood, to a point and a half, and they are now being followed by University B and Suburbs.
Albion went down to a University team which has regained some of its former prestige, and Suburbs beat Lincoln College in a hard match which produced only one try.
Only three rounds remain to be played before the division of the competition and next Saturday’s games could have a decisive effect. Unwood has to meet the strong challenge of University A, University B meets Lincoln College and Suburbs is drawn against Shirley. Results were:— Suburbs 15, Lincoln College 9.
