12 FEARED DEAD

Twelve men from the Nova Scotia fishing trawler Reliance are missing and feared dead after a collision early yesterday between the trawler and the Liberian freighter Bordapian off Nova Scotia’s south shore. The Halifax air-sea rescue centre reported that the trawler sank immediately after the collision, which occurred in dense fog.
