Mr J. R. Leggate has been appointed to the London board of the New Zealand Shipping Company Ltd., and the board of the Federal Steam Navigation Company, Ltd., from July 1. He has been chairman and managing director of Dowie and Marwood, Ltd., since 1964 and is a director of Birt Potter Westray, Ltd. Mr Leggate, who has visited New Zealand several times, retired from the Royal Air Force in 1945 and joined James Dowie and Company, Liverpool, in 1945.
