Neesons In U.K.

Two former Canterbury athletes, the Neeson twins, Hubert and Alan, have been performing “fairiy well” in England. They are not really fit yet, according to the latest information received by their former coach, J. D. Macdonald, the Canterbury senior steeplechase champion and record holder.

At the start' of the season in England, track racing

was being mixed with road relays, in which the Neesons figured quite prominently. Now in their second season of senior competition, the Neesons returned to England with their parents during the last track season. Hubert Neeson is the holder of the Canterbury junior steeplechase record in 9 min 21.8 sec and In 1965 he was third in the national senior championship.
