House Sold For £3200
A six-roomed house on a section of 30 perches at 140 King street, and garages, office and storage space, and outbuildings with concrete floors on a section of 60 perches at 142 King street, Sydenham, were sold for £3200 at public auction yesterday.
The property was offered on account of the estate of L.E.A. Farrier by Mr Denys Chapman. The opening bid tvas £2500. There were five blds of £lOO, three of £5O, and two of £25. The Government valuation is £3275. A weatherboard bungalow at 187 Wilsons road, St Martins, was passed in at £2750. The property was offered on account of the estate of Elizabeth Towart by Mr D. R. Smith. The house has two bedrooms, lounge, kitchenetteMvingroom, bathroom, hall, and laundry. Outbuildings on the section of 24.5 perches indude a garage and a toolshed. The Government valuation is £2425, and the rates are £3O 19s.
