AID FOR NIUEAN WOMEN

£2OOO Raised For Headquarters (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 16. Two years of work by members of the Federation of Country Girls’ Clubs has resulted in £2OOO being raised for the women of Niue Island to help them build a headquarters at Aloft, the capital. The presentation will be made to the Secretary of Island Territories (Mr J. M. McEwen) at New Plymouth on Monday by the Dominion president (Miss Marjorie Case) from Waiuku, South Auckland. The £2OOO will provide a third of the hall’s cost More than £l2OO has already been raised by Niuean women and more may be provided by the Niuean Legislative Assembly.
