Youths Lodge Appeal

(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, June 16. Two members of an Auckland motor-cycle gang have lodged appeals against sentences of borstal training imposed on Monday by Mr Stewart Hardy, S.M. They are Phillip George Clapiham, aged 17, a builder’s labourer, and Phillip Ernest Schubert, aged 19, a spraypainter. They were charged with being unlawfully on premises at Kk> Kio on June 6.

Retail Sugar Price.—The retail price of sugar in the four main centres of New Zealand Is 7Jd per lb. It is fractionally higher than this elsewhere. It was incorrectly reported that sugar was lOd per lb in an article in “The Press” yesterday.
