Seaman’s Body Identified
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 15. The body of a man found floating off the end of Queen’s wharf, Auckland, yesterday, has been identified as that of William McLeod, aged 37, single, a seaman from the collier Kaitangata. The body had been in the water several days. He was last seen alive in Auckland on June 3. He failed to join his ship when she left for Sydney on June 7.
