OBJECTIONS WITHDRAWN

Medical School Site (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 16. The Newmarket Borough Council has withdrawn its objections to the siting of the university medical school to the Park road area. It took this action when its appeal came before the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board in Auckland. On the basis of a report from a town-planning expert, Miss N. Northcraft, the council said although it regretted the loss of this high-density residential land, it now withdrew its objections to the proposals. The board agreed to the withdrawal and complimented the council on its action to reach a “very happy solution.”
