AWARD FOR TRIUMPH

Readers of a national motoring magazine in the United States have voted the Triumph Spitfire the best sports car costing less than 2500 dollars in the United States. The publisher of the magazine, “Car and Driver,” Mr D. E. Davis, has presented an award to the StandardTriumph Motor Company of New Jersey. The Spitfire is one of Triumph’s most successful export models. So far 73,000 have been made and 58,000 exported, 32,700 going to the United States. In several Continental countries it is the best-selling British sports car.
