N.Z.U. Side For Lions
The former All Black utility back, W. A, Davies l Auckland), has been plucked from the Rugby limbo and placed in the New Zealand Universities squad for the game against the Lions at Lancaster Park next Wednesday.
The 1963-64 AU Black fiveeighths, E. W. Kirton (Otago), has been dropped from the side as a penalty for his recent poor form. He has not been retained as a reserve.
The selectors also have discarded the flanker, R. T. de Cleene (Victoria), and brought In the Canterbury University player, D. D. Wilson.
Seventeen players have been named for the match, and one forward and one back ere to be omitted. K. J. Prain (Otago) and N. Cullimore (Auckland) have been added to the squad, and W. J. Thompson (Lincoln) and K. N. Grant (Victoria) have been dropped.
