Refuses To Resign

The Chief Minister of Sarawak, Dato Stephen Kalong Ningkan, last night rejected a call by the Malaysian Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman, to resign his office.
In a signed statement, the Chief Minister said he would not heed the call because it would be unconstitutional to do so.
