X-RAYS FOR ANIMALS

Machine Lent By Society (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter) BLANTYRE (Malawi). The Malawi Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has presented a £4OO X-ray machine on loan to the Department of Veterinary Services in Blantyre. In the past, animals needing X-rays had to be taken to the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital where it was found difficult to combine the treatment of animals with that of human beings. The Blantyre veterinary officer. Dr. R. W. Bryson, in accepting the unit, said: “The machine will be most useful in the treatment of animals throughout Malawi. It will help us greatly in diagnosing sickness in animals accurately and efficiently.”
