The results of the quarterly solo piping competitions held by the Scottish Society of New Zealand Highland Ftps Band were as follows:
Six-eight March.—A grade: D. Pratt 1, J. Waters 2, A. Smith 3 Open grade: R. Tait 1. G. Burrows 2, P. Aitken 3. Three-four Retreat.—A grade: D. Burrows 1, A. Smith 2. P. Blacklock 3. Open grade: F. Spence 1, P. Beaumont 2, G. Burrows 3.
Aggregate.—A grade: A. Smith 1. Open grade: G. Burrows 1. The Judge was Mr R. Johnston.
