Pursuit and Vigour Vigour sprinted over three furlongs and appears tn fop order He should again prove hard to beat On the course proper, where the trestles were out 60 feet Princess Taiaria (Donoghue) covered half a mile In 5! 4-3. the final three in 39 2-3 sec. Pursuit (Jones) hit out freely when galloping a smart three •in 33 4-ssec. He is well and .'could do better this week at Manawatu after his first day s run ; Deep Blue (K. Cullen) shaded Katja ng (McMenamm) • after five furlongs in Imin 6 [2-ssec, the final three in 39 2-5 sec. Deep Blue worked keenly 1 throughout Vigour <K. Cullen) did pace I work before galloping a fast I three in 37 4-ssec. He is fit. Bravest (Whittington) sprinted from the six in Imin 20sec. taking Alsec over the final three. He worked keenly throughout and looks fit for his race this week.
