Pither, 91 Jeffreys road, Christchurch and Langford Raymond, only son of Mr and Mrs V. Hunt, 164 Idris road, Christchurch. Waterland—Rampton: Mr and Mrs W. S. Bampton, of Marshland, have much pleasure in announcing the engagement of their eldest daughter, Jennifer Mary, to Barry Richard, only son of Mr and Mrs R. H. Waterloo, of Woolston.
Did Not Attend.—The Mayoress (Mrs G. Manning) did not attend the ball held by the Papanui branch of the Labour Party as reported in “The Press” yesterday. The error is regretted.
