THIS BIG BLOCK OF WHITE MARBLE, weighing 19 tons, is for the high altar of the Roman Catholic Cathedral, Liverpool. It is shown at the works of Stonemasonry (North-Western), Ltd., Aintree. The block, believed to be the largest ever quarried in Europe, was found in Skopje, Jugoslavia, after a two-year search.
