BUILDERS’ PLAN

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 13. A group of small South Auckland builders plan to form themselves into an association to operate “something like those grocery organisations,” one of the group, Mr R. Yates, an Otahuhu builder, said today. A membership of 75 was assured. Mr Yates said it was hoped to attract about 300 members to protect the interests of small private building firms “who are pushed around by the big builders, the Government and everyone else.” He said the association would offer members the advantages of bulk-buying, group-costing, credit and legal and accountancy services, continual employment and a guarantee of workmanship to architects and owners.
