MOURNING BY TONGANS
Period To End On Thursday (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 12. The end of the six-month period of mourning observed by Tongans since the death of Queen Salote will be marked with feasts and dances from Thursday. Members of the Tongan community, both in New Zealand and in the islands, will shed their black clothes of mourning. The immediate family of the Queen, however, will continue in mourning for six months. An official of the Royal household in Auckland said no date had been set for the coronation of the former Prince Tungi, King TaufaAhau Tupo.
