QUEENSTOWN ICE-SKATING RINK OPENED.—Skaters testing the ice for the first time after the official opening of the rink by the Minister of Tourism (Mr Eyre). The rink measures 160ft by 60ft. It is hoped that it will offer consistently good ice for up to eight months of the year.
