Papanui Parish Work

An Anglican minister and his wife from Geraldine are going to the parish of St. Paul’s, Papanui, to help with the increased amount of church work in the expanding suburbs of Harewood and Bishopdale. They are the Rev. R. B. Allen and Mrs Allen. A vicarage will be opened and dedicated at 2.30 p.m. on June 25, by the Archdeacon of Christchurch (the Ven. Archdeacon H. M. Cocks). Money from other Canterbury parishes is being received to help finance work in the new area.
