11 CHANGES AT TIMARU

(From Our Rugby Reporter] INVERCARGILL. Only four of the British Isles team beaten by Southland —Hinshelwood, McFadyean, Thomas and Laidlaw—have been included in the team chosen to play South Canterbury-Mid-Canterbury-North Otago Combined at Timaru on Wednesday.

B. Bresnihan and C. M. Gibson, who recently joined the tourists, will have their first matches.

After D. Watkins’s rather disappointing display on Saturday the performance of Gibson a cool and steady first fiveeighths, will be watched with great interest.

McFadyean has been placed at wing because neither Savage nor S. J. Watkins are

avillable because of injury. One of the most interesting features of the team is that Pask, the Welsh captain, will lead the side in the absence of Campbell-Lamberton.

Team: D. Rutherford; A. J. W. H4n shelwood, B. Bresnihan. M. p Weston, C. W. McFadyean: C. M. H. Gibson: R. M. Young: A. I. E. Pask (captain): D. Grant R. A. Lamont, B. E. V. Price W. D. Thomas; D. L. Powell, F. A. L. Laidlaw. D. Wl'ttams.
