PAINLESS

/Special Correspondent NZ.PA.)

INVERCARGILL, June 12. The Lions flanker, N. A. A. Murphy, had all his teeth smashed in the match against Southland. But he did not feel a thing, and did not even know about it untill after the match. Before the game, Murphy gave his set of false teeth to the referee, Mr C. F. Rob-

son, to mind. After the game, Mr Robson reached into his pocket for Murphy’s teeth and found to his horror they were smashed. Mr Robson collided with a player during the game and apparently Murphy’s teeth were shattered in the collision. Murphy gave a rueful, toothless grin when Mr Robson told him of his misfortune.
