123 West Indies’ Lowest Of Tour

(N.Z.P.A. Reuter— Copyright) HOVE (Sussex). The West Indians were dismissed for 123 runs, their lowest total of the tour so far, by Sussex on the first day of a three-day cricket match on Saturday.

The touring captain, G. S. Sobers, got his first “duck” of the season. The Sussex fast bowler, J. Snow, discarded by England, took seven wickets for 29 in 16.5 overs—the best figures of his career. FAILED BY ONE The Indians failed by one run to beat Gloucestershire in an exciting finish to their threeday match on Friday. They needed a single off the last ball of the day for victory, but D. Holford was clean bowled to leave the scores level and the match ended in a draw. The West Indians fought back well to hit 284 runs in 245 minutes for the loss of six wickets and get so near to winning
