LYTTELTON SEAT
National Party Procedure The National Party’s candidate for Lyttelton will be selected by a meeting of the electorate committee on June 27. A report in "The Press” on Saturday saying that a candidate was expected to be confirmed by the Dominion headquarters of the party was incorrect. The procedure In the party is that the names of nominated candidates for selection are submitted to the Dominion council for approval, after which delegates to an electorate selection committee choose by free vote the candidate for the election.
