Repayment Of Loan

Mr J. W. Cowley, of Christchurch, who was mentioned in Parliament last week as owing Miss M. B. Howard, M.P. for Sydenham, a “four-figure sum” which she had lent at 8 per cent interest, said yesterday that he wished to make it clear that the loan, which had been made a number of years ago—June, 1960, was quoted in Parliament —had been repaid in full, along with the 8 per cent, some years ago.
