Profit Down But Div. Up fN.Z. Preu Aun.—Copuright' MELBOURNE June 9. Profit of Elizabeth Arden Pty., cosmetics makers, fell from 131,798 to 113,216 dollars in the year to December 31. But the dividend for the year, paid from the 1964 profit, was up from 60,000 to 100,000 dollars. The directors say in the annual report, filed at the Companies* Registration Office today, that they will determine later in the current year the amount of dividend to be paid out of profits earned in 1965. The latest result was after provision for tax—lo,B9o dollars lower at 90,000 dollars—and depreciation—down from 31,958 dollars to 30,060 dollars. Capital was unchanged at 200,000 dollars in 2-doliar ordinary shares during the year. Profits carried forward rose from 277,394 to 293,132 dollars.
